Biceps Peak

Q: James, any way to get peaked biceps? I have been trying for years. Should I switch to body weight exercises or resistance bands? For years I’ve been on the traditional weight training exercises.

My Answer: In Strength and Physique: The Articles and in Strength and Physique: High Tension Exercises for Muscular Growth I devote a chapter discussing biceps peak. To develop biceps peak, you have to develop the brachialis muscle underneath the biceps. A bigger brachialis muscle pushes the biceps up, giving you greater biceps peak.

Exercises that target the brachialis are exercises where you curl with your elbows in front of your body. The following exercises will develop biceps peak:
